In Italy when you put a couple of letters between brackets, in an address, they represent the province where that particular town or city is situated. For example Monteriggioni (SI) shows that the town of Monteriggioni in the province of Siena (SI). I wrote this kind of "preface" because you wrote the name of the town you are looking for, followed by (SP) which represents the province of La Spezia. Now, I don't know if there is a Ponte all'Abate in the province of La Spezia. There is however a tiny little village (as the previous post correctly indicated) called Ponte all'Abate in the province of Pistoia (PT) in Tuscany. Maybe that's what you were looking for. It's such a small place, I wonder how you came across that little town. Anyway, hope it helps.
